In all the years that I've traveled to Shaolin Temple, I've learned much more than the different aspects of Shaolin gong fu, the political evolution of the temple, and the various personalities that create it.
I've learned that Shaolin is an important concept to keep alive. A concept, which has followers throughout the world. A concept, though meaning different things to different people, with different uses, interpretations, and impacts, still presents a common thread to us all.
It embodies a fifteen hundred year old tradition, which is evolving in many ways; some good, some bad. Regardless, a tradition which is beloved by most, a tradition, which many want the opportunity to experience, but cannot, because of cost, distance, cultural barriers, or otherwise.
I've been fortunate to experience this over the last ten years. And though I cannot help everyone share the experience directly, I want to do something worthwhile for this community. Worthwhile for the individual who cannot visit China and train because of its ever increasing expense, or, for the fact that travel to China can be a bit overwhelming and uncertain.
I've created a new training opportunity, one that is genuine, traditional, safe, enjoyable, and easily affordable. In a place that is more hospitable than most people's home countries.
